Why do I have to fear Allah?
Ø Muslim don’t just fear Allah, but equally Love Him. This love/fear can be compared to our love to our parents. We love our parents, but we do also fear them. The love is because of all the great things our parents have done to us, while we also fear their (our parents) wrath, if we fail to obey any of their commands. True love empower us to obey Him and we are sure that any thing the person we love request or compel us, is only for our own benefit, the same way how our parent’s ask us to obey them.
Why do I have to worship Allah?
Ø To answer this question, let us go back to our example of our parents. There are certain rights that our parents own from us. It is quite natural for us to do good to them and to love our parents, and be always at their service. Quran says about parents : “say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour” [al-Isra 17:23].
Our parents deserve all the honor because they gave birth to us and took care of us. But who took care of us by giving us the proper living place inside the womb of our mother, by giving us the best shape, by giving the intellect and resources we need for our growth.
As it is natural that we tend to align our wishes with the wishes of our parents, to keep them happy is the best way to express our gratitude towards them, It is also quite natural that we tend to align our life towards the wishes and likeness of our creator and creator of our parents. It is natural that we tend to give up what we like to what our creator likes, give up how we want to live, to the way our creator want us to live, and this is our submission to our creation. and this submission is called worship, and it is deserved by none other than our own creator – Allah.
Quran says : “I have only created jinns and men, that they may worship Me.”
HOLY QUR’AN 51:56
Why did Allah create Nonbelievers, Jews and condemn them to eternal hell?
Ø Allah created mankind for the development of this earth. It is our (man kind) duty to represent Allah in the earth. He said : اني جاعل في الارض خليفة – I am placing a representative (khalifah) on Earth. – for this purpose. Allah didn’t create mankind just like sun or moon or angels, who just perform their duty automatically without any self motivation. We understand the value of eye when it lost. Likewise, we understand the value of Faith only in its absence. Thus while the believers have faith, but can’t understand its value, He created non-believers too so that people understand the value of faith.
There is no compulsion. You pay taxes to the government, and you can’t tell to government that you wont pay tax anymore. But we never pay tax to our creator for giving us some space in this world to live. Anything you buy, you pay money, but we never paid money to Him for the oxygen we take. Only things He ask in return is to understand Him and to obey His commands.
Things have been laid out clear including the minute details of what is going to happen if a person rejects faith and accept a life not expected from the creator of mankind. Those who believe and do good deed, for them is eternal happiness in Heaven, and for those who disbelieve and do bad deed, for them it is punishment in Hell fire.
And We have made the guardians of the Fire to be angels; and We did not make their number except: as a test for those who have rejected………and so that those who have a sickness in their hearts and the rejecters would say: “What did God mean with an example such as this?” It is such that God misguides whom He wishes, and He guides whom He wishes. And none know your Lord’s soldiers except Him; and it is but a reminder for human beings. (The Noble Quran, 74:31)”
Why did the Prophet hate, torture and kill Jews?
When prophet reached Madeena , he tried to live in co operation with Jews and others in Madeena. He made a treaty with Jews to help each other and not to cheat in any situation. But, Jews cheated Prophet and tried to demolish Madeena nation. Prophet handled that political situation. More of all, Allah or prophet don’t hate or condemn Jews as a caste. They are also advised to follow the right path and the way of Allah, and those who are not ready for it and continue their cheating and hating, those are like those people condemned to punishment in Hell fire.
Why are women not equal but inferior to men?
There is not inequality between man and women. Both are two parts of humanity, and mankind can’t exist without either of them. Allah can make every one man or women, but He created this way for our own benefit and progress. Just think about the situation of the absence of his/her partner. If Allah creates all man and ladies in equal in character, physical, style, any one can enjoy from other? If the duties of both men and women are same, can mankind develop? Who brought up kid’s ? And who earn money to grow the kid’s ? Allah created man and women in different quality and physical strength. It is not inequality. If every one man and women, each members of humanity, what happened in this world? Who work for others? Who become manager and who becomes labor? Who become leader and who obey him? This is life and it is practical.
Having understood a fact, that man and women are not the same, and that they are equal in different terms, let us understand how islam consider this difference, and let us also look at the role of women in Islam, and how much importance Islam has given to her.
Many time, we only see what the outside people say or the media say, and we never understand the reality. You would be thinking that Islam gives double to share of parents to boys than to girls. But, you would be surprised to know that in Islam, a women is not asked to fund for her child or husband or family. She has 100% right on what she gets, while Islam puts the responsibility on man to look after the expense of his spouse and children.
